Queens Valley Hotel

Location was very good, within walking distance to Luxor temple. Breakfast was good with a nice spread of various food. Staff was very friendly and ever willing to help. They even advised us on taking their local tuktuk called Blue White van for EGP2/person; which we used to travel from hotel to Karnak temple. The staff even gave us EPG1 as we had only EGP5 loose change for the 3 of us. How great is this!

Great location near the shuk (market) and Luxor temple, the staff is super kind, AC was decent and bed was comfortable. Water is hot, facilities did their job, and everything matched what can be expected in Egypt at this price. The pool in the terrace, with bar and restaurant and a view of the Nile and Luxor temple, is a fantastic value, allowing relax time after seeing temples and tombs in the heat.

The people at the property are extremely helpful and warm. They made sure to make us feel right at home and were very responsive and attended to all our needs and requirements throughout. Osamma, Mohammad, Basma and Ali were very hospitable and warm. Amongst all the places around, the stay is good as it also has a rooftop swimming pool.

Let's see...us Europeans are used to a level of confort that's not easy to find in Egypt. Luxor does not have many hotels that fit, with a good price, at least in the East bank, which is the nicest to walk around and reach easily the temples. Having traveled a few times, I can say this hotel is one of the best, but still not enough. We don't expect a 5 stars, but some things could be better. The rooms were nice, the views are wonderful and the rooftop terrace is simply wonderful. Breakast was great and the staff so lovely. It is just the small things that they could improve, like providing hair-dryers and also the shower water was cold in one of the 4 rooms we used. We asked the hotel to fix it, but it was all the same. Also our toilet had water-loss everytime we flushed...and the rug was not as clean as we would have liked. Long story short, I think Queens Valley is one of the best options, but many details could make it much better. Thank you anyway, staff, cause you were great and lovely.
